The sentence for his "crime" has yet to be decided.
Dankula, whose real name is Mark Meechan, was tried for --and found guilty of -- being “Grossly Offensive” under the Communications Act of 2003 for making his cutely humorous 2016 video, featuring Buddha the pug.
As well as being a bit of fun aimed at his girlfriend, the video was clearly a commentary on Godwin's Law and the absurd overuse of the "everyone's a Nazi" meme that was rampant at the time. The video appeared and went viral during the run-up to the Brexit referendum and the election of Donald Trump.

At the time, the Buddha’s owner Suzanne Kelly defended her boyfriend, saying he had "never expressed anti-Jewish or anti-Semitic" views and had "always been very supportive towards minority groups."
Speaking to Tommy Robinson outside the court before the trial, Meechan said:
"It’s been two years of my life completely put on hold, I’ve not been able to get a job, there have been threats against my life… They’ve tried to portray me as a racist and a Nazi, apparently context doesn’t matter anymore...What they should have realised from the start is realise how ridiculous this entire thing is, okay he’s just a shitposter, he’s an edgy comedian’, there are famous comedians who have done much worse than me and you don’t see them getting arrested."
The goal of the British establishment is clearly to impose anarcho-tyranny by cowing the native British population into silence, while turning a blind eye to the crimes of minorities, such as the gang rape of underage British girls by Muslims. While these crimes have been ignored for decades and punished with extremely light sentences, Meechan has faced the full brunt of the law, as well as threats from antifa.
Does anyone think Meechan would be on trial for such a trivial offence if he were a non-White or Muslim?
