JASON JORJANI RESIGNS FROM THE ALT-RIGHT: NOT RELATED TO "GREAT VICTORY AT CHARLOTTESVILLE"

Jason Reza Jorjani, known to us as the Editor-in-Chief of Arktos and one of the co-founders of AltRight.com has officially resigned from the Alt-Right. 

Given the timing, some might see it as related to the events  of Charlottesville, which have been controversial to say the least, but according to Jorjani's statement on his personal blog, his decision was motivated by his growing involvement in Iranian nationalist politics. 

"Dear friends and colleagues, You may have been wondering why I was not at the August 12th Charlottesville 'Unite the Right' rally. As my Alt-Right and Arktos partners know, I was in Los Angeles delivering a historic speech introducing a new political organization whose name I was honored to have chosen, Jebheyé Irângarâyân. This literally translates from Persian as the 'Iranist Front' but we are using the English name 'Iranian United Front.'"

Jorjani's new group unifies the monarchist Constitutionalist Party of Iran, the Pan-Iranist Party, and Iran’s National Front (the republican party of Mohammad Mossadegh), overseen by the Iranian Renaissance movement, of which Jorjani has been a senior adviser.

Jorjani remains a shareholder in both Arktos and AltRight.com along with Richard Spencer and Daniel Friberg, but is hoping to negotiate a buyout with Spencer and Friberg.
