But when it comes to our own ancient religious traditions, any amount of disrespect is endorsed by the establishment. I mean you've all heard of "Piss Christ," haven't you?
The latest example of treating Christianity like a joke occurred in the Mediterranean island of Malta, where a branch of New York Best restaurant used a tacky 12-metre-long billboard based on Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting of "The Last Supper" to advertise milkshakes, pizza, and fries.
Luckily this insult to traditional European religion and identity was countered by heroic nationalists, Henry Battistino and Desmond Falzon of the Moviment Patrijotti Maltin (Patriotic Movement of Malta).
